To celebrate Cruinniú na Cásca, Limerick City and County Council invites all curious citizens and visitors to explore the history and the landscape of the city and county. On Monday 17 April, a programme of free walking tours is being offered. From guided tours of the Georgian and Medieval Limerick through to tours of county towns Adare and Kilmallock, to self-guided walks amongst the beautiful scenery of County Limerick, there are stories to discover and nature that lifts the soul.
In this time of reflection and renewal Limerick City and County Council invites all our citizens and visitors to explore the history and the landscape of our city and county through an act of collective walking. We are delighted to present a programme of fifteen walking tours with over four hundred free tickets.
Whether you are interested in history and heritage, Irish mythology, nature, self discovery or just want to stretch your bones, we have a walk for you to take. From guided tours of the Georgian and Medieval Limerick, through our county towns of Adare and Kilmallock and walks amongst the beautiful scenery of Caherconlish, Lough Gur, Ballyhoura and Knockfierna, to a Yoga Walk through breathtaking Galty Castle Woods. There are stories to discover that promise to lift the soul.
