Come to the Medieval Town of Athenry on Easter Monday for a free Creativity and Cultural Day embracing and celebrating all things cultural through the rich variety of Arts & Creativity Workshops, music, song and dance, locally produced film screenings and podcasts, storytelling, Irish Cómhra, and lots, lots more.
Participate in creative fun, have a go at archery, juggling, beating a drum, listen to the sound of samba, get involved in arts and crafts activities, see our traditional crafts people at work.
This free event is taking place within our cultural and civic spaces; Athenry Heritage Centre and Athenry Castle and working in collaboration with the local community for the use of the Athenry 1916 Community Garden, Athenry Community Park, and Athenry Community Hall.
Organised by Galway County Council in co-operation with Athenry Community Council, Athenry Tidy Towns, Athenry Heritage Centre, Athenry Castle/OPW, Athenry Historical Network, and Galway & Athenry Film Clubs.
This free community event on culture, creativity and craic event runs from 1pm to 4pm on Easter Monday.
